3.1.4 Marketing Infrastructure: At present, and in order to facilitate more efficient marketing and export services, the Thai government has developed a so called "one-stop" service policy. The latter aims to shortcut the lenghty chain of handling, grading, packaging, quality control and certification, customs formalities, etc., which presently have to be executed at different places (multi-stop system), by providing all these services at one central market. There is a need for a new physical marketing infrastructure, which adopts the auction system and integrates the services of the various government and private organizations concerned with fruit trade, to the benefit of producers and traders in the domestic and export markets.
