This is the most important throne hall in the Phra Maha Monthien complex because it is the formal audience hall where every Chakri king has performed important state ceremonies, such as making his appearance before his subjects during the coronation ceremony, conducting audiences with ministers of state, performing rites on his birthday, and receiving the credentials of foreign ambassadors. It houses the two magnificent thrones which are Phuttan Kanchanasinghat Throne, and Busabok Maha Mala Throne.
