Differences were also found in certain carcass traits. The total carcass weight was higher ( P < 0.05) in CH bulls (Table 1), whereas the total amount as well as the relative amount of fat in the carcass was lower in CH bulls ( P < 0.01). The content of subcutaneous and intramuscular fat of the semitendinosus and the longissimus dorsi muscle was lower in CH bulls ( P < 0.05).
