Goal of Education
The College of Humanities pursues education for humanity, education for creativity and communication skills, and education for the global mind-set and cultural capacity. Also, the college aims for future-oriented education that can lead society in the 21st century. The global era is in dire need of outstanding global mindsets, communication skills, a wide range of knowledge in local and global cultures, and a sense of balance, universal value, and solid identity. The information era requires the ability to sort out accurate information from a flood of information on various media and interpret, reconstruct, and express it in a critical way. The cultural era demands literacy in classical and modern cultures, creative cultural production, and the ability to give objective cultural critiques. The College of Humanities continues to do its best to provide education to meet such demands of society in the 21st century.
