For last two decades, the pesticide-induced oxidative stress as a possible mechanism of toxicity has been a focus of toxicological research.Strong association of aerial exposure of these pesticides to genotoxicity and onset of neurological symptoms in the humans have been reported. These reports have also indicated that these compounds may cause alterations in the level of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) from red blood cell (RBC) membrane, micronucleus formation, sister chromatid exchanges in mice and human lymphocytes and chromosomal as well as mitotic aberrations in peripheral blood lymphocytes.
