Threat factors are those that put into danger the survival, abundance
or evolution of species or ecosystems,while protection schemes, particularly
protected areas, mitigate the impact and reduce the risk of threats
(Wilson et al., 2005). The knowledge of ultimate and proximate threats
helps to understand opportunities and constraints for conservation. In
SCP, the use of costs many times follows the concept of opportunity
costs to maximize conservation success. Productive and valuable terrain
is assumed to be lost anyway because of the skewed conflicts with social,
economic and political factors that lead to trade-offs
