Report Reveals Healthiest States for Seniors
The United Health Foundation tracked the health of U.S. adults aged 65 across the U.S. in 34 areas, including health determinants and health outcomes.
2013 "America´s Health Rankings Senior Report" shows that the healthiest states for seniors are Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Iowa. The unhealthiest states turned out to be Mississippi, Oklahoma, Lousiana, West Virginia and Arkansas.
"All states have their share of strengths and challenges, and we must make a concerted effort to learn from one another and repliceate what works," says Dr. Reed Tuckson.
