From then until September, we have to be careful of the weather. If a tryhoon hits, the schools close and we must tape our windows so they will not break. However, except for the typhoons, summer is an excellent time to be a young person in Okinawa. We often take picnics to the beach and spend all day eating, swimming and chatting with friends. In the evenings, we like to go to a bar to listen to some live music. There are many kinds of music to listen to because there are so many foreigners that come through here.
