The absence of association between BJW and attitudes regarding roles
in school bullying is surprising because research has consistently shown
that high belief in a personal just world is associated with own just behavior
(see Hafer & Bègue, 2005 for a review). Nevertheless, the fact that bullying
is a kind of victimization with which children and adolescents are very
familiar, irrespective of the role they are in may have made them perceive it
as a victimizing situation that is not very serious. Future studies should
address this unanswered question.
