In the current study, primiparous Bos indicus beef cows had lesser odds of displaying estrus after the TAI synchronization protocol than multiparous cows. Factors associated with pre calving body growth rate, BCS at parturition, BCS loss, and metabolic status dynamics during the postpartum period may affect primiparous Bos indicus beef cows more profoundly than multiparous cows, and may be associated with the lesser estrus responses in this category.
