Temperature
Keep in mind that during the first few days the chicks
have to rely on the temperature that we maintain, before
their own thermoregulation starts to work properly. The
best way to check if the house temperature is correct
during this period, is to measure cloacal temperature
of the chicks (40°C/104°F).
As a general rule we start with room temperatures of 31-
33°C during the first week and decrease then gradually
to reach around 20ºC at 5 weeks of age.
