Gyeongju gyodong beopju is a kind of sungok cheongju, a clear rice wine made only from rice. Porridge made of glutinous rice and nuruk are mixed to produce the primary mash, to which is added godubap, made of glutinous rice, and water, to make the secondary mash. The mash is fermented for 50 days and aged for more than 100 days to produce Gyeongju gyodong beopju. The harmonious mixture of ingredients in the right proportion determines its flavor, color and scent.
