Aloe 6era (L.) Burm. f., (Liliaceae) has been used in the traditional medicinal practices of many cultures for a host of curative purposes. It has been used in the treatment of a variety of disorders including wounds and burns (Grindlay and Reynolds, 1980). The fresh gel, juice or formulated products have been used for medical and cosmetic purposes, as well as for general health. In addition to its wound healing property, Aloe 6era has also been shown to have antidiabetic and hypoglycemic properties (Ajabnoor, 1990; Beppu et al., 1993).
