It may be noted that only frequency selective operation
is not suitable to detect chromatic graphical objects such as
stamps and logos as the filtering operation may lose some high
frequency information from graphical objects as well. So, we
choose to retain pixels with high spatial frequency and high
chromaticity components into the frequency selective filtered
image and call it as F£ as shown in Fig. 3. This process helps
to retain maximum number of pixels from stamp and logo regions
and suppresses the textual symbols in the document. The
