They fabricated sulphonated gum of different DS
value 1.92-2.85 and molecular weight. Product
formed was characterized by FTIR and 13CNMR.

Wang et al.reported that sulphated guar gum
showed significant biological activities. They
prepared sulphonated guar gum derivatives by
Box–Behnken statistical design. Presence of
sulphated groups was confirmed by FT-IR, Xray
spectroscopy, size exclusion
chromatography (SEC) and laser light
scattering (SEC–LLS) analysis.
