Our results illustrated that 80.9 % of motorcycle riders
were driving above the speed limit and 71.6 % rode while
feeling tired. These results were in agreement with the
report of NHTSA which mentioned that most of motorcycle
riders involved in fatal crashes were speeding [30]. Also, it
was reported that very high speed was responsible for about
43.11 % of road traffic crashes [14]. the association between
speed and crashes was explained by the inadequate time the
drivers have to avoid collisions when at high speed in
addition to the relatively high engine power compared to the
low vehicular weight which allows motorcyclists to accelerate
much more quickly than cars
