I walked down the steps into a large lecture room in Ross Hall, and I placed myself in the middle of the classroom. It seemed ridiculous that the girl in front of me had made the effort to put on full make-up for an eight a.m. class. I would rather sleep in for a couple more minutes intead of waking up early to do my make-up. Another girl came in, and I asked myself, Does she have pants on? She wore a pair of short shorts, and I had no doubt why she got people's attention. I looked at my other classmates who just walked in.
"How can I make friends? Smile! Right! SMILE," I mumbled to myself. I secretly hoped that somebody would be sitting next to me so that I could have some friends. However, nobody in class really put in an effort to know new people.
