In contrast to many other environmental
problems, noise pollution continues to grow and is
accompanied by an increasing number of complaints
from people exposed to the noise. The growth in
noise pollution is unsustainable because it involves
direct as well as cumulative, adverse health effects.
Noise effects have various impacts on mental and
physical health and disturbance in daily activities. It
may affect sleep, conversation, leading to perception
of annoyance and causes hearing loss, cardiovascular
problems as well as affecting task performance [3, 4].
