We found
only one study that measured the efficacy of resistance
(anaerobic) and aerobic exercise in parallel. Both
groups were trained three times a week (40 min) for
12 wk under supervision by a physical trainer and an
endocrinologist. Interestingly, the HbA1c increased in
the aerobic group significantly after 12 wk, whereas a
non-significant reduction was observed in the resistance
training group[64].
