We research, purchase and provide best materials to fit needs. It is a priority of the Special Education Instructional Media Center(SEIMC) staff to establish policies which reflect current educational practice and consider future needs. Frequent direct contact with teachers, therapists, and Director of Special Education/Pupil Services provides information on the types of curricular materials that meet state standards and are relevant in today's classrooms. Materials are purchased based on these needs and to support current education initiatives identified by DPI and WPDS/CSPD.
During the 2013-14 school year, the SEIMC subscription service provided curriculum materials to over 230 instructional staff in 22 school districts.
