Domestic affairs
To get the right picture, start from the fact that you're not photographing your pets, they're photographing you. Ask yourself how your pet sees you and the rest of the family and you're ready to shoot. Obviously most pets see us bigger but you can go as metaphoric as you wish. Maybe your cat thinks you're a big dumb servant, the lizard thinks you're a comfortable pillow and the guinea pig thinks you're just an obstacle in its way. Get down on all fours and see what they see: curious children faces looking at a newly arrived puppy, loving hands offering treats, angry woman cleaning up broken dishes, mommy's tongue licking fuzzy kittens, eyes looking up at a smiling human, shaking cabbage leaves as someone's munching their lunch. Imagine you're a fish in a tank and you're watching your human family having breakfast. Or imagine you're a dog about to catch the stick your human is throwing in the park. See your family in motion as a parrot would when flying out of the cage. How about a more exotic friend? Show us what your child's tarantula sees when out of its aquarium and you're having guests for dinner. As we've said, it's all about the pet's perspective.
Personality show off
Pets do have personality, they're always on the move, they're enthusiastic and they interact with humans
