The Infiniti was a robust shoe and Brooks has tried to make the new version more responsive without losing any toughness, thinning out the upper overlays, and changing the direction of midfoot material from horizontal to vertical in order to provide slightly more stability and guidance for the foot.
The original Infiniti received complaints about the fit being too tight but it seems that Brooks may have addressed this issue too eagerly, as this time our wear-testers complained of a reasonable fit around the midfoot but a looseness around the heel. Our wear-testers say:
"Support was good but cushioning was slightly soft and I'm not sure how they would feel after a couple of hundred miles of wear." - Claire Steward
