The table indicates that the t-test value of 20.34 was statically significant at a .00 level
(p < 0.5). In addition, the students’ post-test mean scores ( = 13.29, SD = 0.64) on the
vocabulary test were higher than the pre-test mean scores ( = 5.88, SD = 2.39). The possible
total score was 15 and the mean difference was 7.41. As a result, it can be concluded that
there were significant differences between the pre-test and post-test mean scores of the
vocabulary comprehension test for upper secondary level students at a significant level (p <
0.05).
