Thus, the
strongest result’s p levelwould need to be .01. The
Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS)
Version 12.0 was used to analyze the data. Pearson
correlations and regression analyses were con-
ducted. ‘‘Do not know’’ was treated as missing
data in the analyses. Some of the hypotheses were
tested on a limited sample size (n¼94) taken from
a larger sample (N¼123). The sample size was
limited to 94 because 29 participants had missing
data on one or more of the analysis variables. The
data were analyzed for over-fitting of the model
and to assess for outliers. Cooks D was less than 1,
indicating the absence of outliers, and no leverage
points approached 1, indicating that all points had
a similar influence on the predictor variables.
