Lithium–phosphate–borate–fluoride glasses, doped Tb 3þ /Ce 3þ
with different cerium concentrations 0.2, 0.5 and 1 wt% have been
fabricated and characterized. Time-resolved luminescence of Ce 3þ
and Tb 3þ ions in glass matrix under electron excitation has been
studied. Increasing cerium concentration leads to an increase in
luminescence intensity terbium, both photo-excited and excited by
an electron beam, while the intensity of emission cerium ions is also
increased. The band intensity of the luminescence excitation 317 nm
increases, whereas the absorption bands at 340, 353, 371, 378 nm is
weaker with increasing the concentration of cerium ions in glass.
