further defined trust in terms of ability, integrity and
benevolence. Ability is related to skills and competencies of the
trustee in a specific context. Integrity concerns if the trustee follows
moral and ethical principles that are deemed acceptable by
the trustor. Benevolence concerns the degree to which the trustee
has goodwill or empathy towards the trustor. Perceptions of these
elements will affect the trustor to have trust towards the trustee.
Trust that we concentrate on in this study is in alignment with
these previous definitions.
