In blueberries, fluorescence has been used to evaluate the performance
of cultivars (cvs.) under various stress conditions, proving
to be a good tool for determining the effects of stress conditions on
the efficiency of photosynthesis and cultivar response. In the cultivar
‘Bluecrop’, under water stress conditions, a decrease in the
net CO2 assimilation rate was observed along with increased Maximum electron transport rate,
indicating processes of photorespiration (Rho et al., 2012).
