IV. MInf SYSTEM BASED ON CLOUD COMPUTING
Standardizing raw data, security control, data caching and filtering, offering interface units to upper application programs and other functional modules constitute the middleware of “internet-of-MInfS”. Supposing we realize the function of these units through configuration real resources, it would waste a lot of money and manpower. Therefore we can make use of cloud computing platform to implement partial functions: formatting data, data caching and filtering, generating data source and providing it to the application process interfaces.
A. General Characteristics of Cloud Computing
Cloud Computing application system can be grouped into six layers components – client, service, application, platform, storage and infrastructure. A cloud client consists of computer hardware and software, which relied on cloud computing for application delivery, or which is specifically designed for delivery of cloud services. Cloud service include “products, service and solution that are consumed in real-time” over the network. Cloud application services or “Software as a Service (SaaS)” deliver software as a service over the Internet, eliminating the need to install and run the application on the customer’s own computers and simplifying maintenance and support. A cloud platform facilitates deployment of application without the cost and complexity of managing the underlying hardware and software layers. Cloud storage is a model of networked computer data storage where data is stored on multiple virtual servers, generally hosted by third parties, rather than being hosted on dedicated servers. Hosting companies operate large data centers; and people who require their data to be hosted by or lease storage capacity from them and use it for their storage needs. The data center operators, in the background, virtualized the resources according to the requirements of the customer and expose them as virtual servers, which the customers can themselves manage. Physically, the resource may span across multiple servers.
The data collected at the scene needs to be formatted before being stored into the system database, so we need develop different read-write adapters to transform various styles of data into standard data format. Now we can save the field data into original database of “internet-of-MInfS” system located in application storage pool of cloud computing platform by network system. Cloud computing platform will implement the step of data standardization, taking system default data format as reference. After this step, all the data will be standardized and be stored into temporary database in cloud platform. Therefore, cloud computing has fulfilled function of standardizing initial data. The structure of MInf system based on cloud computing platform is displayed as Fig. 4.
Cloud infrastructure services, also known as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), deliver computer infrastructure – typically a platform virtualization environment – as a service.
