In the interest of clarity, it is pertinent to define what it is understood by schooling and how this concept differs from other two related notions: education and training. Schooling refers to the broad set of experiences that take place at the school level. These experiences include, but are not limited to, the teaching and learning process. Thus, schooling is result of the school curriculum, extracurricular activities, the “hidden curriculum,” and the students’ socialization process in school and school related organizations.
