In comparison to the number of meliponine species cited as communicating resource location, there are surprisingly few species for which even preliminary feeder array data are published (Tab. I). I therefore focus on species for which published data are available. Recruitment to non-specific locations has been reported in Nannotrigona testaceicornis, Meliponula (Axestotrigona) ferruginea tescorum, Frieseomelitta silvestrii, F. flavicornis, and F. freiremaiai (Kerr, 1969) and shown through recruitment experiments with Plebeia droryana (Lindauer and Kerr, 1958)
