- With the introduction of the 668PW005 door glass, only the glass curve is deeper than the existing Ascent canopy door glass. It is imperative the operators checks the number printed on the glass underneath the compliance logo is 668PW005 to ensure the correct piece of glass is being assembled into a 668AC006 door.
- At incoming inspection check 3 pieces of glass for 668PW005, with every batch delivery as controlled by SOPS: SP-50063 using the glass check fixture 6000-039 main glass check fixture and 6000-038 for the hand held check jig for the glass holes.
- Inspection of pin holes, glass edge grinding, scratches, roller marks is also to be expected to be of high standard. Any edge chips, where grinding has been re-done, are not be accepted due to the nature of the frameless glass fit to the Ascent Canopy.
- Batch certification from VMC should also include shatter testing and these records retained by ORA with reference to the glass order number.
- A Go/No Go gauge for assembled doors to pass or fail glass curvature at the top sealing line will be developed in due course Jig number (6000-042) and is to be used 100% in the assembly production process as defined in SOPs SP-50109 & 50110.
