Staff Training and Drills
Security Department and Fire Life & Safety section would conduct daily security trainings focusing on bomb threats, the verification of suspicious persons and/or objects as well as emergency procedures when suspicious persons and/or materials were found. The security team would organize a 30-minute training to every department. The training would be implemented on 9 December with a training duration of one week.
Security team and/or any department who used to be in contact with Naresuan Camp previously was advised to invite the officers to see our place and advise on how we can strengthen and reinforce our security procedures as well as to do the training for our hotel staff if it is found that the training is effective.
It was reported that normally our hotel conducted a full fire evacuation drill twice a year. The latest drill was organized on 14 September 2015. The officers from Public Disaster Prevention and Relief Units Cha-Am Municipality were invited to do the drill. Additionally, weekly alarm testing every Monday at 12.00 hrs. is performed and recorded to ensure the efficiency of the alarm system.
Perimeter Safety and Checks
Inspection mirrors are used at the main entrance of the hotel’s building in order to verify any suspicious objects being loaded with the transportation.
An inspection at risk areas of the hotel’s building, including exit ways, corridor of guest’s rooms as well as electrical control rooms, has been performed every 30 minutes. For other risk area such as the beach front, more man power from security team has been assigned to do the inspection.
Regarding the parking lot, everyone must park their vehicles on the parking areas only.
Staff and outsource contractors are strictly monitored to use only one entrance/exit.
Regarding the bomb threat issue, the Engineering department was asked to find ways to record calls since at the moment our telephone system used by the Operator could not do the recording.
CCTV Cameras
The hotel has an adequate numbers of efficiency CCTV cameras installed around the property area to verify any suspicious persons and/or objects.
More CCTV cameras were expected to be installed at other risk areas of the hotel next year.
Emergency Generators, Supplies and Communication/IT Systems
According to the SOP of Engineering Department, a generator testing is conducted every Monday and the preventive maintenance is performed frequently. Hotel engineers would do the maintenance of the generator every Sunday. Moreover, every two months the maintenance would be done by the outside contractors.
In case of power outage, the generator could provide a minimum of 6 hours of power. Regarding the communication system, the Uninterrupted Power Supply could be used for a minimum of one hour.
