His father was Huad and his mother was Kao.
His original name was Kon Hutasingh.

he won a government scholarship to continue his studies at the middle Temple in England in 1905.

he returned to thailand and served in the Ministry of Justice during the last part of the reign of King Chulalongkorn.
Before the Revolution of 1932 he was a judge of the Court of Appeal and a member of the privy Council in the reign of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII)
After the revolution,Dr Pridi Banomyong suggested the People's party should select Phraya Manopakornnitithada to be President of the people's Committee which was the most important position in the new government.
Dr pridi thought that Phraya Manopakornnitithada was a commoner with a good educational background from such a democratic country as England,so he should be in favour of democratic system and, above all, he enjoyed a certain relationship with King Prajadhipok as his wife was also one of the Queen's ladies-in-waiting.
So, he was seen as an ideal compromise between the revolutionary party and the King.
He took the post of President on 28 June 1932.
