D. Thailand’s tourisms statistics in the next 20 years: Minister Kobkarn stated that the Ministry of Tourism and Sports had set strategies for tourism development in the next 20 years. The strategies are divided into three stages: short term, medium term, and long term. From 2015 to 2017, they focus on tourism marketing promotion, the upgrading of Thailand’s image as a "quality leisure destination,” the creation of tourism opportunities for all groups of the Thai people, and the development of tourism products and services. The objective is to achieve sustainable tourism development in social, economic, and environmental aspects. Emphasis is placed on income distribution to local communities in order to empower communities and provide rural people with a better quality of life.
