The essential oil was analysed on a Varian 3900 GC-FID and
Agilent 5973 GC–MS using a fused-silica capillary column Agilent
DB5 (30 m length, 0.25 mm id., 0.25lm film thickness). GC oven
temperature was programmed from 30C (5 min hold) to 250 C
(10 min hold) at 5 C/min. Diluted in n-pentane samples
(1, 1/100 v/v) were manually injected at 250C in the split mode at a
ratio of 1:20. Injection and detection temperature was 250 C.
Identification of volatiles was based on retention indexes
calculated by using n-hydrocarbons and mass spectra by computerised matching of essential oil compounds with NIST 2008 and
WILEY libraries
