Life is full of strange happenings. They seem very often to arise from very trifling causes. But so long as we do not know the causes, they seem to be most exceptional. They become very exciting. Life becomes interesting because of such things. They are very welcome because they break the boredom of life. The day stared out terrible. First, I overslept and was late for study. Everything that happened at the university just made thing worse. By the time I reached the bus stop to get the bus home after study, my stomach really started to hurt. As usual, the bus was late and it was full so I did not get a seat. I had to stand up and the bus pulled me in all directions, my stomach pain got worse. I then noticed an old woman who seemed to be enjoying her day. She called attention every landmark that the bus drove past. This is a church. That is a park. This is a cemetery. It was only when people got off the bus that I saw that the old woman was blind. I then realised that all the things I got upset about during my day were not really worth it at all. In most case, one should never judge a person by external appearances. I’m impressed that she was happy with life opposite me unhappy with life. This experience was a good lesson once. If you form an opinion of someone base on stereotypes, you risk never getting to know someone who is different. You may be missing out on an opportunity to make a good friend. In addition, you are reinforcing that stereotype by believing it without giving the person a chance. Such incidents are happening very often and they give us variety of experience. They sweeten life and add to our experience.
