This article presents the results of a survey of international U.S. companies concerning
the selection of international accounting software. These results indicate that international
U.S. companies consider technical multicurrency and multireporting functionality as the
most important international features in the selection of international accounting software.
The results also show that the importance placed on international features of accounting
software differs depending on the size and degree of internationalization of firms. This
outcome suggests that organizational context factors are important determinants in the
selection of international accounting software.
