Hemolymph glucose levels of female crabs did not show any
significant variation (pN0.05) throughout the year (Fig. 1). In
males, blood glucose levels presented two peaks, one in the
summer and one in the winter (pN0.05): in the fall and in the
spring, the values were intermediate. This reduction in the
hemolymph glucose levels of males in spring was also
significant in relation to female values in this season (pN0.05)
