- We will put textbooks and printed documents online.
- We will rely on learning-management systems, online-collaboration tools, and self-learning software.
- We will heavily utilize games and simulations for classes.
- We will be highly interconnected with social media by getting involved in conversations and building communities around subjects of interest.
Learning environment
- We will change from classroom-based teaching to anyplace, anytime learning.
- We will enter an era where automated, self-service, and streamline courses are apparent.
ILTI realizes that some of the following challenges will also occur:
- New generation students do not know the life without computer.
- Students must be ready for new skill-sets because their jobs may have not been invented yet.
- Instructors may be discouraged to learn new methods due to the lack of time and budget.
- Student plagiarism, cheating, and distractability may rise because of the easy access to mobile technologies.
- The adoption of new technologies will be slow due to insufficient resources, staff, and supports.
According to the trends and challenges of future education, ILTI set up four internal groups (Teaching and Learning, e-Learning, Media, and Administration) to support KKU teachers to better prepare students for the challenging future. To spring ILTI vision to life, here are the plans of each internal group.
