Isotherm experiments
Isotherm studies were conducted in a series of 250-ml
Erlenmeyer flasks. Each flasks was filled with 100 ml of different
initial Cu(II) concentrations and adjusted to pH 6.0.
After equilibration, the solution was separated and analyzed.
Adsorption studies were performed at different temperatures
to obtain the equilibrium isotherms. The initial concentrations
of solutions taken for the studies were 5, 10, 20, 30,
and 40 mg l−1. The equilibrium adsorption capacity was calculated
using
