Above: Most Zelkova leaves have
saw- or tooth-like edges, with the
size of the teeth varying from fine
to coarse. and their tips ranging
from almost blunt to very finely
sharp-pomted. The overall leaf
shape of early Tertiary types is
long and narrow. as here, with
some modern species being
more rounded or oval. ThIS
specimen is part of the same
