Closed indoor ventilation systems can trap air pollutants, thus leading to poor indoor air quality (Li et al., 2021). Such polluted indoor environments should not be inhabited as the pollutant concentrations exceed the maximum allowable levels. Such buildings are termed “Sick” buildings, and the World Health Organization named this condition “Sick Building Syndrome (SBS)” (Hedge et al., 1996)
