The inoculations were carried out 24 h after SA treatment. The SA-treated or control fruit (10 pieces per treatment, three repeats) were sterilized with 70% ethanol, then wounded with a syringe at 12 points (4mm deep × 2mm wide) on two sides of each fruit. Fifteen microliters of the conidial suspension was injected into each wounded site. The fruit were
constantly incubated at 13 ◦C, 85–95% RH.
Disease incidence of the fruit and lesion diameter on the each fruit were recorded daily. When the visible rot zone outside the wounded area on fruit was more than 1mm wide, it was counted as decayed fruit. Disease incidence was defined as decayed fruit/total fruit
