2. Adverb of Place
Adverb of place tells us about the place of action or where action occurs/occurred/will
occur.e.g. here, there, near, somewhere, outside, ahead, on the top, at some place. This kind
of adverb always answers the question "Where?". Adverbs of Place mainly modify verbs.
For example:
- Please sit here. (Where should I sit?)
- They are standing there. (Where are they standing?)
- He parked his car outside. (Where did he park his car?)
- My child was flying a kite on the top of hill. (Where was your child flying a kite?)
- My roommate is sleeping upstairs. (Where is your roommate sleeping?)
