I had the pleasure of staying at Park Plaza Soi 18 last month.
Once again it was fantastic, I could not fault anything at all.
One of the best things about this hotel (apart from the amazing staff) is the compact size.
There is no long walks to get anywhere, or waiting at lifts, or crowds.
I could swim in the pool anytime, even 4am if you feel like it, or use the gym, because there are no rooms on the top floor where the pool and gym are.
I have stayed at hotels where the pool and gym closes at 8pm, or even 7pm in one case.Just ridiculous.
The rooms are perfect, actually I prefer the cheaper rooms on the back side. They are bigger but have no view, but who cares?
The food is delicious, and the breakfast is amazing.
The location is perfect, its on a quiet street with a restaurant and convenience store nearby, and plenty of massage parlours.
Yet its only a short walk to the BTS and subway.
However its the wonderful staff that make this hotel feel like home away from home.
There were some new faces this time, yet they were just as lovely as the original staff I met before.
A new waitress called Mint was just so welcoming and friendly, with perfect English, ready to greet you every morning for breakfast. What a nice way to start the day with a friendly chat with a lovely girl at breakfast.
Then there is Little Bow in the office who still has the biggest smile on any girl I have ever seen.
Nuno and Coco on the front door are terrific blokes, who will help you with advice for anything you would like to do in Bangkok.
Bung the security manager is a great guy too, with a lovely smile as well.
But actually all the staff go out of their way to help make your stay memorable.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough, and I cant wait to go back there again one day.
