Furthermore, an organic soil was found
to have a reduced macroporosity and an increased microporosity
(f < 30 mm) over 20–50 cm soil depth after wheeling with a 16-
Mg tractor-trailer combination. Berisso et al. (2012) also observed
a reduction in volume of macropores (f > 30 mm) of a sandy clay
loam soil after repeated wheelings with an 10 Mg sugar beet
harvester.
