Singapore has been ranked first in Asia-Pacific for its ability to compete for talent and has also clinched the second position globally.
This marks the third consecutive year that Singapore has achieved the top spot in Asia-Pacific.
This was according to the Global Talent Competitiveness Index which ranked over 100 economies based on their ability to develop, attract and retain talents.
At present, Singapore has nearly 43% of its population born abroad.
The other Asia-Pacific countries that have showed openness in their economies to attract talents included New Zealand and Australia with about 17% of their population abroad.
Other countries that were included in the rankings were Japan in 19th place, Malaysia in 30th place, South Korea in 37th place, China in 48th place, Philippines in 56th place and India in 89th place.
