Egypt stands against foreign and military intervention in Syria, Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi said today, Arabic TV channel "Al Arabiya" reported.
He said that the military intervention in Syria will create big problems.
He added that the Arab countries support the Syrian people's desire for democracy.
According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria is nearing 20,000.
More than 230,000 have become refugees with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
