Rabies is transmitted through close contact with infected saliva via bites or
scratches. Once a mammal is infected by rabies virus and does not receive a
post-exposure vaccination before the symptoms occur, dies in a short period. The
first symptoms of rabies may be very similar to those of flu including general
weakness or discomfort, fever or headache. As the disease progresses host may
experience delirium, abnormal behaviour and insomnia [3].
