You bring your head out of the tree with hypnotic rings flowing through your eyes. You know that the woman won't have to look for very long to be ensnared by your power.
Which she doesn't. She pulls out her machete as soon as she sees you, and slices right through your neck as soon as your head is within range. Yours is a quick and decisive death.
The woman says to herself in a local tribal language, "Yikes. It's good that I was being cautious today."
She looks around a bit in case there are other attackers coming, then calms down. "Hmm... what can I make out of a dead snake? I hear that snake skin makes good shoes. These sandals are getting rather worn. I'll have to see what I can do."
With that, the woman begins carving up your body.
